Design Engineer / Manager – RC Structures – London - £50k
To be part of this exciting new business venture within the Group, the role will require a dynamic, enthusiastic Structural engineer that has sound technical knowledge of reinforced concrete coupled with a talent in selling new construction technologies. The plan is to extend the current reinforcement service that the Group offer to our current client base through providing pre-fabricated reinforcement matts to site.
Key Elements of the role:
• To undertake the design of concrete structures
• To supervise and carry out the detailing of reinforcement concrete
• To carry out finite element analysis of concrete slabs
• To carry out load take downs
• To be involved with value engineering
• To liaise with Clients and all members of the design team
• To present and sell the concept to Clients, Main Contractors and Consulting Engineers
• Be able to travel throughout the UK
Key requirement of the candidates:
• Hold a degree or HND/C in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Have at least 5 years post graduate experience, primary in the design and detailing of reinforced concrete
• Ideally be MICE or Chartered Engineer
• Have excellent analytical skills
• Good communication
• Experience of managing technicians and site staff
The position will be remunerated with a good package that is dependent upon the experience of the candidate.
