Research Fellow – Mackintosh School of Architecture (MSA) – Glasgow Urban Lab (0.2 FTE)
Internationally recognised as one of the UK’s leading architecture schools, the Mackintosh School of Architecture at The Glasgow School of Art has a design reputation for aesthetically and intellectually rigorous architecture set in a social and urban context with key research strengths in environmental architecture, architectural history and urbanism and place making.
As Research Fellow based within the Glasgow Urban Lab, your contribution and output will focus on the relationship between urban policy, planning practice and good design in Glasgow, Scottish and European context. Working under the leadership of the Lab’s Director, Professor Brian Evans, the position would suitable for a mid-career practitioner or academic wishing to develop the relationship between research, practice and education in the field of urbanism with a focus on regeneration and placemaking.
The Glasgow Urban Lab is a research centre of the MSA in partnership with Glasgow City Council and works collaboratively with a wide range of public health, transport, economy, environmental, housing, and infrastructure policy-makers and agencies.
