 SSA are recruiting on behalf of a Joinery & Fitout Division of a major Construction Group who has an extensive workload across London and the Home Counties.

 

The company is based in in North West London and provides Carpentry & Joinery solutions to major contractors throughout London  to major contractors throughout London and has been established for over 20 years.   The company carries out New Build or Refurbishment of existing buildings in the Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Retail and Health sectors.

The company undertakes works packages typically from £50k up to £2.0m and carry their own team of experienced trades and professional staff providing all equipment, resources, project management and materials.

 

Role: Purchaser

Reporting to the Commercial Director and supporting the Commercial Team

Assisting Estimator in procuring quotations for estimates,

Compiling Pre Contract Job Files & Document Control, 

Scheduling & Procuring of Materials at Best Value & Placing Orders.

Scope of Works

Pre Contract Works

·         Production of Job Folders Including Document Control of Drawings, Specifications, Schedules & Registers & Distribution to Relevant Parties

·         Taking Off Quantities & Pricing Bill Of Quantities

·         Assisting In Preparation of Tender Returns

·         Assisting In Completion of Prequalification Forms

Post Contract Works

·         Taking Off Material Quantities

·         Preparing Material Schedules

·         Send Out Enquiries to Suppliers/ Subcontractors

·         Track & Chase Quotations

·         Carryout Price Adjudications & Identify Best Buying

·         Preparation of Schedules For Material Call Off 

·         Monitoring & Control of Material Call Off

·         Negotiate Rates & Terms with Suppliers  

·         Reconcile Quantities & Rates on Invoices Received Against Orders Placed

·         Daily Interaction With Site Management To Ensure Material Requirements Are Met

·         Preparation of Operation & Maintenance Folders
