Interior Designer - FF & E - Hotels - London - Freelance - £NEG
Our client specialises in Hotel and Leisure interiors is seeking an Interior Designer with FF & E skills including using the software package “SPEXX” to join their busy design studio in Central London to work within the FF&E team on a Freelance basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible in ensuring that the furniture, fittings and equipment (FF&E) requirements on all projects meet all deadlines.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be expected to demonstrate an ability to think creatively and will participate in initial concept meetings
Provide information and make suggestions on availability of suitable FF&E as required
Assist in creation of boards/layout plans
Work with designers to prepare, schedule and cost all FF&E specifications
Work with Senior FF&E designers to prepare spread sheets outlining all costs and gain approval from MD and Account Manager
Liaise with MD and Accounts department to ensure all costs budgets are approved
Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers to ensure that all specifications and deliveries are being met on time and on budget
Generate solutions and alternatives as problems arise and seek approval from designers and client
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers throughout the procurement of FF&E
Ensure regular and open communication with internal and external teams and suppliers
Co-ordinate receipt and delivery of all FF&E
Ensure all FF&E specifications are delivered to site as scheduled
Assist in final stages of project ensuring that all FF&E and styling requirements are met
Additional Responsibilities
Build and develop existing relationships with existing suppliers and manufacturers
Ensure that FF&E library/sample area is managed and maintained
Assist with any ad hoc FF&E issues as they arise
