Assistant / Project Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Contractor – East Anglia
A well-respected, privately owned social housing contractor are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant / Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They complete projects nationally and currently have a vacancy from a regional office in East Anglia. Projects are largely social housing refurbishment and decent homes with some commercial and education projects, with values between £250k and £15 million.
Due to their very good reputation much of their work is through repeat business with long standing clients and via recommendations. This will be a great opportunity to gain significant responsibility at an early stage as well as benefiting from industry leading training and career development.
Responsibilities:
- Based on site, responsible for financial control of the project through to final account alongside a senior QS
- Working with whole site team to ensure client satisfaction
- To maximise the gross margin on contracts, alongside site teams
- Obtaining best prices for sub-contracts, accurately assessing costs during project delivery
Ideally we are looking for the following:
- Minimum 3 + years’ experience with a comparable social housing or maintenance contractor
- Stable career history
- Experience on refurb and decent homes projects
- Project experience on projects £100k to £3m +
- Motivation to develop a long term career with the company
