Designer/Estimator, Hertfordshire -
Interiors, specialising in commercial interior fit outs and refurbishments. The client aim to create modern, efficient and motivating working environments for their customers. They are client focused and their approach includes workplace and building appraisals, space planning and design and project delivery. The company has grown from strength to strength and now employ a 30 strong team of people dedicated to supplying the highest levels of design, service and quality installations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen due to continued growth they are looking to expand the team and employ a Designer/Estimator to support the interiors Division in the production of Commercial Interior Design and Build Fit Out proposals for various sized projects. Suitable candidates should have experience and understanding of the Commercial Interior Fit Out industry and the associated trades it encompasses.

The candidate will have a passion for design and an eye for detail and will provide cutting edge design/drawings. You will be able to take a project design brief from either a client or internal Sales Person and from this, produce solution based space plans. The candidate must be competent to use AutoCAD software, to produce CAD drawings for interior projects, able to complete detailed and accurate costing sheets for material and subcontractor based aspects of works from plans and communicate with sub contract network to obtain quotations from these to incorporate into Proposals. Sub contractor proposals generally obtained for Electrical, HVAC, Data, Decoration and small Building works, as well as project specific specialist suppliers. You will have the ability to analyse quotations received to ascertain the best price and to collate all information to produce an accurate readable proposal.

IT Packages - The key individual will have proficient skills and be able to demonstrate excellence with the following software packages;

AutoCAD 2012 (including 3D, although this not essential)
Goldmine (Contact management database) - not essential but advantageous


  • £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
  • Performance related bonus scheme based on Divisional Sales Targets.
  • Full time role - based on 37.5 hours a week - 8.30am to 5.00pm
  • Holidays - 20 days holiday increasing up to 24 days with service (four to be taken at Christmas)
