We have a new opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer working on civil engineering projects based in the Kent and Cambridgeshire.
Our Client is one of the largest privately owned Civil Engineering Companies in the UK. They work across a number of sectors including highways, groundworks, landscaping, external works, waste management, commercial infrastructure, specialist small works, structures and residential infrastructure. They have several new projects on their books and they are on a continued growth trajectory, which is the reason for the new vacancy.
The successful Engineer will be required to work on Highway schemes in Cambridgeshire or Kent, depending on your location. You will therefore need a minimum of two years’ experience of working on UK Highways projects.
Essential Skills
- CSCS card.
- Experience in Highway and servicing
- Excellent communications skills.
- The ability to work under your own initiative.
- Looking to developer there career.
- Familiar with all surveying instruments.
- Co-ordinate setting out and be able to work confidently with Autodesk Auto-Cad.
- A full clean driving licence.
- Degree in Engineering.
Desirable Skills
- SMSTS.
- First Aid.
- Health and Safety.
The successful Setting Out Engineer will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience on civil engineering projects and a proven record of setting out on civil engineering projects, including; earthworks, deep drainage, highways and infrastructure. You will be capable of producing As-Built drawings. You will have recent and relevant UK experience.
