Head of Conservation Maintenance
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a challenging and diverse role within the Estates department at English Heritage.
The Estates Department is responsible for the repair, enhancement and conservation of buildings, gardens and landscapes. As Head of Conservation Maintenance, you will lead a national conservation maintenance team in reviewing, developing and implementing an English Heritage Conservation Maintenance Strategy to support our business objectives. You’ll be responsible for budget planning and monitoring, Asset Management Planning, contract management and resolution and the delivery of planned conservation projects across a number of properties.
You will be expected to direct and lead the transformation of maintenance services and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for identifying improvements to, and leading the process of improving national maintenance standards and procedures, in line with English Heritage, best practice, legislative and governance requirements – and conservation principles. The successful candidate will have proven experience at a similar level and demonstrable experience of delivering successful transformation management in a complex environment.
