Senior Architectural Technologist
We are currently representing an expanding architectural practice, based in the South Leicestershire region. They are an award winning practice (they are regular finalists at the ProCon awards), and have a broad and varied portfolio which encompasses, retail, residential, leisure, heritage/historical, industrial, commercial and Public Sector. They have a strong in house team of technologists, Surveyors and Architects, and are currently looking to expand their numbers due to a large influx of projects, and a steady pipeline of work moving forwards. Their client service is varied, and offer a multitude of services which includes, interior design, Full building and planning applications, quantity surveying, concept schemes with 3D visualisation, Project and construction management, Party wall surveying etc.
Presently they are looking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist, to assist and help run their expanding portfolio of projects. The role will be client facing, and the successful candidate will be expected to be able to liaise directly with clients and contractors. The role will expose the successful candidate to a variety of projects and will require an individual who is competent running and managing their own projects, in addition to being able to help and assist on others. Additionally the successful candidate can also expect some managerial duties, as and when the projects require additional junior members of staff to assist. The role will require the successful candidate to work through the full life cycle of a project, from initial tender documentation, construction detailing, layout designs, elevations, snagging etc. Their in-house technical drawing package is AutoCad, however in addition they do use Photoshop, Sketchup and 3DS Max. The client will be looking to move towards Revit within the next year.
Ideally the successful candidate will be MCIAT accredited, and be able to highlight through relevant experience a strong background working within the role of Senior Technologist. Due to their broad portfolio, the client has not specified exclusive sector experience, however the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate in their portfolio and prior experience a varied and detailed project portfolio. Ideally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate prior experience of managing teams, and also be able to highlight a strong background of running their own projects, through from inception to completion. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge and experience of UK building regulations and fully understand and be experience in CDM 2007.
At the moment the client is based in the south Leicestershire area, however in summer next year they will be moving to new offices, which are situated towards the East Leicestershire region.
