Duggan Morris Architects are seeking a talented senior architect with a minimum 4 years post Part III experience to work on a series of exciting projects across multiple scales and sectors.
Supported by both directors you will have the responsibility of managing a small team to deliver several projects in the practice. As such, you should be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work across all RIBA Work stages with evidence of work in the following sectors as a minimum – Cultural, Commercial, Residential, Education and Regeneration. You will have excellent design and technical skills and be able to demonstrate experience of on-site construction, knowledge of procurement and project running experience.
Candidates should also be able to demonstrate both ability to work through technical issues and be familiar with all relevant codes and UK building regulations (Including but not limited to – Code for Sustainable Homes, Life Time Homes, BREEAM). You will have experience of managing teams with the potential to oversee staff mentoring. You may, at times, be required to be the point of contact for the client and also have a strong team ethic with the ambition to be an industry leader.
Proficiency in Microstation is a key advantage during the selection process, although not essential. However, you should be able to demonstrate advanced proficiency in a comparable CAD package, as well as all normal desktop publishing and project programming software. The right candidate would have a balance of rigour, design flair, a sense of humour and the patience to teach others in the office.
