We are currently representing a busy Leicestershire based Architectural practice. They are currently working on a variety of projects, including ecclesiastical, residential, conservation, Healthcare and some industrial and commercial. They offer a wide range of services to their clients, and are able to offer a complete package from inception to completion.
They are currently looking to recruit an RIBA/ARB Chartered Architect to join their existing team. Ideally the role would suit a candidate who has also achieved SCA or AABC accreditation, as a significant portion of their work is on conservation projects. Therefore, any experience of working with English Heritage would be a significant advantage. Candidates who have not worked on conservation projects may still apply, although they must show and highlight an interest in conservation architect and be prepared to work towards achieving the aforementioned accreditations. The role will require the successful candidates to be a competent AutoCAD user, in addition to being able to display strong hand drawing skills. Ultimately the practice will be moving towards Revit; therefore any experience of this would be advantageous. The role will require the successful candidate to be able to work through all RIBA work stages, run their own jobs, be able to bring in their own work, be confident negotiating fees, have experience working with English Heritage (ideally) and planning consultants, be confident presenting and put forth design theories to clients and possess the required level of Planning legislation and UK building regulations knowledge.
This role will suit a Chartered Architect (ideally with either SCA/AABC accreditations, experience within conservation architecture or a desire to achieve these accreditations) who is eager to join a growing practice and aid in their present and future development. The confidence to work in a client-facing role is essential, as the successful candidate will be required to run their own projects and also bring in their own jobs. The role would suit a candidate who has both strong design and technical skills. For this they are prepared to offer a competitive remuneration package, which will be dependent on the candidates relevant experience.
