Asset Management Surveyor (Development)
The successful candidate will also provide specialist development advice to the Regeneration Team and other Client Teams within the Council. Working under the direction of the Senior Asset Management Surveyor they will be expected to manage capital and special revenue projects, planned and response maintenance projects in respect of the Councils corporate properties through the medium of formal contracts and supervise a small design team.
Essential requirements include ARB registered with a minimum 5 years post qualification with significant experience of social housing developments, contract management and conversant in the preparation of AutoCAD drawings. Ability to deliver excellent design in practical, cost efficient solutions. Excellent construction knowledge and good people’s skills are essential together with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Also required would be good experience in the management of Contractors, good awareness of contract law, knowledge of Local Authority procurement practices and an ability to monitor and control budgets. Proven ability to manage numerous contracts and deliver projects on time within budget.
