An international firm of consulting engineers and property consultants now has an urgent requirement for a number of Architects or Architectural Engineers to join them in Christchurch, New Zealand. My client is responsible for doing inspections and then report writing for a range of residential properties that were adversely affected by the earthquake. They are working for a Tier 1 contractor who in turn is working for a major firm of insurers to investigate the works required and to subsequently put it right. My client now seeks Architects or Architectural Engineers who have at least three years or more post graduate experience and who have gained good on site experience of doing site inspections. You will work as part of a team of three people which will include a geotechnical engineer and a structural engineer and you will also then work closely with the contractor when the works are being done. The role is offered on a 12 month renewable basis and there is initially at least 30 months work with a further 10 years work to do all the construction work. My client will offer salaried roles, flights out at start and end, and the first months accommodation. They will also sort out your work visa. People from the United Kingdom and Ireland are preferred.
