Our client is a well established national construction group of companies; specialising in civil engineering, design & build, demolition, and concrete structures.

Working within the Construction division, the job holder will be expected to take Commercial and Contractual control of Design and Build projects. Proven experience and extensive knowledge will allow the job holder to operate at a senior level. The job holder must be highly motivated and ambitious, willing to work with a team and overseeing other Surveyors. The job holder should expect to be involved in a number of projects at any one time.

Primary Functions/ Duties

Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures, such as residential developments, sports stadiums, roads and bridges, schools, hospitals, offices and factories, also administer agreements between various parties on a traditional build basis as well as design and build.Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project while assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.

You will also Preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans and performing risk and value management and cost control, alsoPreparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities,Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;

Experience/ Qualifications

We require an ambitious and capable professional, with enthusiasm and ability. You should have experience of team leadership and be able to perform as a supervisor/ mentor to less experienced surveyors. You will be expected to hold an appropriate level of qualification, a Degree in Quantity Surveying, or similar. Relevant and up to date CSCS card and excellent Health & Safety knowledge.
