Programme Director PG Diploma in Architectural Practice (RIBA Pt 3)(Director of Professional Studies)
£49,507 - £53,595 per annum
We are particularly interested in innovative and ambitious individuals, who can provide inspirational and dynamic leadership to learning and teaching and who have a strong interest in the evolving nature of contemporary architectural practice. The ability to proactively develop extra-curricular opportunities such as live projects, industry and community links, and events will also be highly beneficial.
Within this post of the Director of Professional Studies lies the position of Programme Director for the PG Diploma in Architectural Practice, more commonly known as the RIBA Part 3 course. The Programme Director of the Part 3 course is required to take overall responsibility for the effective management, planning, delivery, assessment, and quality assurance of the programme. This programme has circa 80 students per year split into two cycles with entry points in September and March.
The Director of Professional Studies aspect involves leading, co-ordinating, and teaching Management Practice and Law across Architecture and Landscape at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to engaging with the design studio to ensure its influence and integration in the work of students.
The post holder will also take overall responsibility for mentoring both post RIBA Part 1 and Part 2 students via the supervision of their PEDR within our Beyond Graduation programme. The position also provides opportunities to teach design studio, develop a research profile, and develop external links.
