Further information

Reporting to the project leader the primary responsibilities will be:-

  • Developing designs from Stage D through to construction
  • Coordinating the design and preparing all drawings/schedules
  • Production of complete working drawing packages
  • Liaising with other consultants within the project design team

The essential qualifications, relevant experience and competences required are as follows:-

  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Working knowledge in the use of Revit in a collaborative environment with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Residential projects experience
  • Ability to design construction details which are buildable, function well, easy to read and comply with the relevant standards
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in the use of Navisworks
  • Good knowledge of NBS specification writing
  • Experience of live site operations and working with site based teams
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 2003 or later
  • A good understanding of relevant space standards and their practical application
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of UK statutory controls (e.g. Building Regulations, Town Planning)
  • Dependable quality, speed and accuracy of work
  • Achieves deadlines without detriment to quality or accuracy of work
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Analytical, organised and methodical
  • Self motivated and a team player

The desirable qualifications, relevant experience and competences required are as follows:-

  • Good knowledge of other design consultant disciplines and roles
  • Use of NBS Create in live projects
  • Ability to produce high quality presentational material ( InDesign and Photoshop skills would be an advantage )
