As well as having a sound knowledge of current planning/building regulations, CDM legislation and procurement options you also have a high level of computer literacy and the ability to travel within Aberdeenshire. 

>> Supporting the Architecture Manager, you will provide a professional service and technical advice to colleagues and internal and external clients.
 
 
 
Job Purpose
 

>> To provide a Professional Architectural Service and technical advice to other members of the Department, client departments and external customers.
 
 
 
Main Tasks
 
 

Staff Management and Supervision
Provide appropriate communications and information to clients and Members
Provide a Professional Architectural Design Service
Control staff resources, fee targets and project programmes
Manage specialist filing and information systems
 

 
Experience/Qualifications/Personal Qualities
 

>> Essential Criteria
Experience of all aspects of Architectural design and project management on a variety of projects
Experience in management and supervision of staff
Sound knowledge of current planning/building regulations, CDM legislation and procurement options
Member of Architecture Registration Board (ARB)
Proven ability to manage multi disciplinary design teams
Good communicator
Sound knowledge and ability to operate Autocad, Excel and Word software
Ability to travel within Aberdeenshire
Ability to meet deadlines and cope with conflicting demands
 
 >> Desirable Criteria
Understanding of the principles and working practices within the public sector
Knowledge of the conditions of contract
Member of Royal Institute of Architects (RIAS)
Member of Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
Experience of Project Management systems, eg Timemaster, Confirm
Knowledge of sustainable construction/renewable energy systems
Ability to lead and motivate staff
