Hays Architecture are working with a small, Nottingham-based Architectural practice who are seeking to bring in an Architectural Technician to their team. This job has arisen due to a sustained increase in workload, and our client will be looking to make an appointment as soon as possible. The position is due to last for an initial 2-3 months however this is set to continue longer, subject to workload.
This small, well run practice has an extremely varied portfolio. Projects can range from small domestic extensions and alterations to large commercial new builds. A great deal of our client's work comes from private individuals who are looking to adapt their properties for those with disabilities. In such complex refurbishments it is not rare for a project value to exceed £200,000.
Our client is looking to add an Architectural Technician to their team in order to lessen the burden of work on the Director. In order to be considered for this role you must be fully fluent in AutoCAD, while strong ability on other design software will also be welcomed. You must be accustomed to working to tight margins, where maximising efficiency and productivity is essential. As this is a small practice you must be prepared to take direction at times and to work independently at others. You must be well presented, with good communication skills, as much of this role will involve dealing directly with clients.
Our client is ideally looking for somebody at quite a junior level, perhaps with up to 5 years of experience. You must be ambitious with a 'can-do' attitude and a drive to work hard for the business as if it is your own.
If you are interested in hearing more about this or any other role I am working on, please contact Michael Leafe at Hays Architecture on 0115 959 8786.
