My client is a a small, Nottingham-based Architectural practice. The company is looking to bring in an Architectural technician to help with the increasing workload. This position is permanent and will start out on a part time basis but will extend to a full time after 1 month. The position is initially for a fixed term contract for 6-12 months but can be extended as workload increases. The salary for this position between 18,000 to 23,500 based on experience.
This small, well run practice has an extremely varied portfolio. Projects can range from small domestic extensions and alterations to large commercial new builds. A great deal of our client's work comes from private individuals who are looking to adapt their properties for those with disabilities. In such complex refurbishments it is not rare for a project value to exceed £200,000.
Our client is looking to add an Architectural Technician to their team in order to lessen the burden of work on the Director. In order to be considered for this role you must be fully fluent in AutoCAD and be fully up to date with building regulations especially BS8300. You must be accustomed to working to tight margins, where maximising efficiency and productivity is essential. As this is a small practice you must be prepared to take direction at times and to work independently at others. You must be well presented, with good communication skills, as much of this role will involve dealing directly with clients.
Our client is ideally looking for somebody who is ambitious with a 'can-do' attitude and a drive to work hard for the business as if it is your own. 3+ years of experience is also essential.
