CAD Technician required for an initial 6 months contract that could last up to three years depending on work load
Working on branch fit-out projects and maintenance of the Retail Design Guide including changes confirmed by the Client for the duration of the Agreement. Provide governance on the application of the design guide principles.Receive branch drawing from Client and prepare initial proposed layout in a timely manner conducive with the drivers outlined in the workstream programme.
Space plan fixtures, fittings and equipment as defined in the generic scope of works. Issue layout to the contractor for development and respond to contractor RFIs.
Prepare general arrangement drawings and (where necessary on Acquisition Schemes and Refurbishment Schemes) elevations for approval by the Client and obtain planning and Building Regulation Consent in a timely manner to meet the programme.
Confirm branch dimensions are accurate with the proposed initial drawing following scope site visit by Project Manager and Client's representative and amend drawing as necessary and reissue to Client for sign off and then to Contractors to meet the programme..
Produce a photographic record of the retail area (existing and completion).
All drawings shall be produced on CAD utilising a system totally compatible with the Client system.
Prepare feasibility layout general arrangement drawing for approval by the Client)
Attend pre-contract meetings requested by the Client.
Prepare all contract drawings to be used as a basis for the purpose of tender, and for use by the contractors including mechanical electrical and sprinkler requirements for reflective ceiling layouts where requested.
On Acquisition Schemes only - co-ordinate the design team throughout a project lifecycle.
Provide as built documentation for inclusion in the project health and safety file
Obtain Building Regulations or Building Warrant Consents where required.
Obtain Planning Consents where required.
Liaise with Building Control regarding all necessary statutory consents and liaise with Landlord's Representative and statutory authorities for the purpose of obtaining required Consents.
Provide governance on the application of the design guide principles.
Provide messaging (codes) and merchandising drawing.
Audit and review a selection of branches with Merchandising Team.
To provide a complete technical drawing service for branch refurbishment and acquisition projects.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing design guidance (on Building Regs & Planning) to Project Managers and other internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
High Level AutoCAD 2007 & Photoshop
Knowledge and use of Excel, and PowerPoint to a high standard
The capability to produce detailed accurate documentation
