The Parliamentary Estates Directorate acts on behalf of the owners of the Parliamentary Estate. It deals with all property operations and management, to ensure the Estate is maintained and managed to agreed standards.

The post-holder will assist the Senior Design and Workspace Planning Manager (SDWM) in the provision of a Design and Workspace Planning Service (DWPS) for the Parliamentary Estate.  

The successful candidate will have: an interior design or space-planning background in context of historic building and interiors, as well as design and experience of CAD and knowledge of listed building legislation and compliance. You will also have the ability to plan and deliver feasibility studies and workspace planning and design projects to the agreed service targets, within budget and resource constraints.
You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of planning, organisation and prioritising skills with the ability to not only work as part of a team, but to take initiative of own workload and others when necessary.
You will have interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including members, staff, consultants and contractors.
Experience of working on a major building scheme, either redevelopment, new builds or refurbishments would be desirable.
