For this position we would be looking for a candidate with a thorough understanding of noise and vibration principles, current standards, guidance and best practice; who can work independently and as part of a successful team. You will hold a degree in a relevant scientific discipline and will (ideally) have an IoA Diploma or MSc in Acoustics or Noise and Vibration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this position, as you will be expected to write high quality reports and to liaise effectively with clients and regulators on a regular basis.
As an Acoustic Consultant your responsibilities will include:
*Overall project management responsibilities for projects of various sizes.
*Noise Impact Assessments and Vibration Assessments.
*Construction and Demolition Noise Monitoring and Control.
*Provide advice on Sound Insulation and Architectural Acoustic Design.
*Planning and Noise (PPG 24) Assessments for residential developments.
*Proven technical ability in terms of problem solving and analytical thinking.
*Ability to manage time, resources and projects effectively.
*Develop and secure new business, negotiating with clients and contractors to develop existing relationships and to forge new business relationships.
