We are looking to recruit an important position within our Supported Housing Team.

We are looking for a Support Worker for a scheme based in Ipswich, within a homeless hostel.

You will work with our residents to help devise support plans intended to maximise their quality of living. You will also assist in the day to day running of the scheme, performing administrative and some other duties when required.

Key accountability's

-Working with residents on a key work basis to draw up support plans.
-Assisting the management team with day to day duties.
-Working to ensure the scheme performs highly against contract criteria set by external funding agencies.
-Acting as point of contact for any queries from residents regarding issues.
-Working with outside agencies to set up support networks for the residents.
-Performing selected administrative tasks when required.
-Providing exceptional customer service to our residents ensuring they are able to maximise their living experience.

Skills & experience

In order to perform effectively in the role there are key skills that you must be able to demonstrate in your supporting statement. These are:

-Previous experience of supporting vulnerable adults.
-Previous experience of supporting homelessness/vulnerable adults
-Knowledge of benefits/budgeting/re-employment.
-Knowledge of relocation to permanent residencies.
-An understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults.
-Self motivation and the ability to take on tasks on own initiative.
-Excellent customer focus and the ability to interact with a range of people.
