Part II Assistant / Central London / £24,000 - £28,000 per annum
SKILLS REQUIRED: AutoCAD, Design, Technical, Urban Design, Masterplanning
Prestigious charitable organisation very much in news has an excellent opportunity for a Part II Assistant/Junior Urban Designer to join their multidisciplinary team implementing traditional architecture and urbanism. Working in partnership with a growing global network of traditional urbanists, architects and developers, they deliver a range of consultancy services through strategic planning and community engagement in support of the mission to build sustainable communities.
•Drawing up design solutions at the urban and architectural scale in 3D and 2D.
•Preparing working detailed drawings for buildings and landscape elements.
•Contributing to Enquiry by Design and scoping workshops on architectural and masterplannning projects where required.
•Attending meetings and assisting in the design coordination of projects.
•Undertake project-based research in sustainable building, land development, master planning, regeneration, etc.
•Collate information from multiple sources and prepare high-quality reports, publications, and presentations.
•Develop high quality visualizations (both by hand and electronically) using a range of mediums including AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Illustrator, and Google Earth.
•Coordinate with internal and external project teams
-Proficient with Adobe CS6 and AutoCAD
-Confident in hand drawing
-Ideally have experience of GIS and planning.
RIBA Part II qualified with experience of working within the United Kingdom.
You will have an eye for presentation and detail and provide evidence of a rounded experience at all RIBA stages of work
You will be an enthusiastic team player, who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and backgrounds, including the design team, clients and external consultants
