The Chief Planner in the Department of the Environment leads the delivery of the Department’s planning responsibilities. These include the reorganisation and transformation of the planning system in Northern Ireland. This will involve the transfer of planning responsibilities to local government in 2015, and the continued delivery of the Department’s remaining responsibilities thereafter.
This will be a challenging professional, leadership and management role for the individual appointed to the post.
