A well established construction services organisation working across the UK and Ireland currently have an urgent requirement for an Acoustic Engineer to complement their team of engineers. You will be responsible for carrying out acoustic testing across the country for a number of high profile public and private sector clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to further develop their career within a highly successful engineering company where professional development is promoted and training provided.

Salary: £20-26k

A degree in Acoustics or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Ideally AMIOA

Background/previous experience in Acoustics.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal as report writing will be one of the key aspects of this role
An understanding and knowledge of a building's anatomy
Computer literate

Responsible for carrying out acoustic testing across the country.
Responsible for end-to-end management of client engagement; arranging site visits, pre-engagement with the site manager to ensure pre-site checks had been conducted, explaining design features and faults to the site manager, explaining where improvements can be made to the design of the building;
Undertake design reviews with Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects and Regional Managers.
Identify potential problems and/or weakness with the building design
Suggest cost effective ways to improve the building.
Undertake pre-test audits
Produce detailed technical reports to identify potential problems
