Design Manager – North London – Residential Project - £55,000 plus package

We have an exciting new Design Manager position with a successful main contractor.

Our client has a strong order book and is one of the largest privately owned contractors in the UK. They are currently operating across a range of sectors that include Residential, Education, Commercial and Healthcare. In the main they work under D&B JCT contracts.

The successful Design Manager will take responsibility for leading projects technically. The Design Manager will need strong design skills and experience managing both the design details and process. The successful Design Manager will possess very strong design & technical knowledge and ideally come from a construction design background. The Design Manager will be based in North London. The project is a £25million residential development.

The Key Requirements

  • 5-10 years UK experience in Design Management roles for recognised main contractors
  • Extensive experience on major projects £10m+
  • Strong IT Skills- Microsoft Packages
  • Sector experience to include Residential, Healthcare, Education and Commercial
  • Previous track record of design management

 

The successful Design Manager will have a minimum of five to ten years’ post qualification experience in a similar role, working for recognised UK main contractors or developers. You must live within a commutable distance of Greenwich.
