Our client, a modern, forward thinking practice is on the hunt for qualified architects to assist in the delivery of its high-end residential commissions.
This opportunity is best suited to an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking for instant exposure to a variety of Residential commissions of varied scale from inception through to completion.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of talented architects and architectural technicians to deliver a range of commissions ranging from single dwelling extensions to high-end phased residential schemes for/with developers.
Applicants will ideally have a detailed knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation along with a sound knowledge of traditional and innovative forms of construction methods and detailing.
Responsible to: Director, Associate(s) & Senior Project Architect(s)
Responsible for: Architectural Assistants & Technologists & Revit Implication within team
Purpose of Job: Supporting the design team to promote the highest standards of residential design & technical solution through implementation of AutoCAD & Revit within New Homes & Communities (NH&C) as well as existing builds and ensure that these are generated cost effectively.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience of housing design from initial conception through the strategic site concepts to detailed design. An understanding of current housing requirements and spatial standards is essential.
• Experience of working with a housing / property developer preferred but not essential
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Revit is essential
• SketchUp - preferred but again not essential
• Competent PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Our client also services Leisure & Commercial sectors, however these critical appointments are focused for the Residential Project Team.
Experienced RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistants with experience within the technical detailing stages of residential projects will also be considered for this role.
