We have collaborated with a British firm of chartered architects with over 50 years’ experience in the care, repair and adaptation of historic buildings and places, together with the design of new buildings for sensitive sites. Working as an integral part of the design team, our client are looking for an Architectural Assistant (with Post part II or I depending on level of experience) to join their pioneering London office, on an immediate full time permanent basis.

This  architectural role requires an ability to work with minimum supervision to ‘get things done’, and may suit  a focussed and motivated individual who is  looking to further develop his/her design, report writing and  job running skills; with a view to obtaining further qualifications in a challenging yet supportive  environment

The successful candidate will plan, organise and execute accurate and fit-for-purpose drawings through the job, exercising judgement to appropriately include the contributions of other specialists, consultants and team members where required. Juggling numerous priorities, you will maintain a focus on present activity and future requirements, identifying risks and remedial action when necessary.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in Residential/Social housing projects
  • Knowledge/Understanding of housing legislation
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential. Knowledge of Revit & Sketch Up will be an advantage.
