A leading international design practice working in a range of sectors is seeking a capable person to join their NEW BUSINESS team in London. Reporting to the Head of New Business, this person will be helping to develop and implement new business strategies as well as creating and maintaining new business relationships with potential clients. One will also be preparing business reports and forecasts and working with internal departments to improve information flow and communication as well as overseeing preparation and delivery of new business proposals.
Areas of responsibility:

•To manage the evaluation, production and delivery of expressions of interest (EOIs), request for qualifications (RFQs) and other requests for information responses

•Liaison and correspondence with clients, external consultants and internal departments

•Ensuring effective use of department resources and delegation of duties to other employees in the BD team and explaining how those duties are to be carried out

•To work closely with Head of New Business to achieve departments long term goals and ensure that operational efficiencies are established and maintained.

•Prepare international market intelligence reports

•Establishing which competitions and projects should be in persuit, ensuring that the BD team evaluate potential projects in line with companies strategic goals and budgets

•Financial viability to be considered in conjunction with project suitability

•Collate and maintain record of fees and budgets for current projects

•Providing the key internal players with updated project timelines and progress reports

•Liaison with the Systems Data Analyst to establish key deadlines are captured and recorded on project record in order to facilitate reporting.

•Team development, review team members performance and agree annual KPI’s with the Head of New Business

•Explore how to improve the teams standing within the business

•Continually refine the business development process and ensure that the BD team prioritise workloads in an efficient and appropriate manner.
