Eden Brown are currently recruiting for a 3D BIM Technician (Architectural) required to work with a leading surveying and geomatics company, in their market-leading BIM (revit) division.

Our client is the major player in the surveying industry and through adapting cutting-edge technologies has helped to answer a critical question in the use and application of BIM and revit for architectural studios. This is a very exciting and new area and is already delivering impressive returns, so they are now strategically expanding the team, looking for individuals with a background in architecture, a good understanding of working with revit in 3D, and a real interest in new technologies.

The core duties revolve around: Utilising survey or point cloud data, to take responsibility for leading and delivering BIM / revit modelling projects or aspects of larger modelling projects independently or in conjunction with fellow modellers or third party suppliers within the BIM environment.

This broken down into:

To undertake construction of 3D models of buildings, structures and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) systems for the BIM environment, primarily using Revit and AutoCAD modelling systems, to meet the required Company standards, such as quality and health and safety.

In conjunction with the Project Manager and BIM Technical Manager, to manage and liaise with internal and external Revit Technicians and third party suppliers, to ensure that project deliverables, quality and timescales are met.

In conjunction with the Project Manager to pro-actively report on project progress, and ensure that projects meet the required deadlines and project costs remain within budget.

To provide support and advice to internal and external Revit Technicians and third party suppliers to ensure the most appropriate approach is taken on modelling projects, encouraging all aspects of best practice.

To attend client meetings as required and provide technical input and guidance on project specifications and deliverables.

This really is a great opportunity to work in a successful environment and strong, happy team, using cutting-edge techniques and technologies and to work with the leading clients in the architecture construction industry. The role would suit someone strong with BIM / revit, who is looking to grow their career and take on more operational responsibility.
