Design Team Leader
About the role
The role will involve the design development on a major workplace/laboratory project. Acting as a design team leader, you will lead a small group of Architects and Architectural Assistant to lead and develop the facade technical design in conjunction with external lead design Architects.
This role will be pivotal to the success of the studio both now and in the future. You will work within interdisciplinary BDP project teams with engineers, designers, urbanists and technicians to help deliver challenging projects to the highest quality.

You will have experience working as an Architect within a leading design organisation, having worked on the coordination of facade design.
Embracing BDPs interdisciplinary approach, you will understand and be able to coordinate the design interface with both Structural and M and E design engineers.
You will have excellent written and verbal English language communication skills, and you will be skilled with working to tight deadlines. You will be goal-orientated, able to effectively to drive, manage and motivate a team, whilst remaining a team player yourself. Your portfolio will illustrate excellent design skills with experience of delivering on a range of medium to large scale sustainable workplace projects.
You will demonstrate a collaborative team-working style and enjoy working to tight deadlines. You will be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
