THE ROLE
We are seeking a TOWN PLANNER to join our client in their WARWICKSHIRE office.
You will be Degree qualified and keen to work towards becoming chartered or alreadyf working towards chartered status.
The ideal candidate will already have gained two years or more experience working as a Town Planner.
THE CLIENT
Our client is a multi disciplinary firm of consultants offering a range of services along with a thriving town planning service working closely with clients in the private and public sectors.
They have a large number of offices across the U.K.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Town Planner with a relevant Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Planning & Development or similar relevant degree at 2:1 level or first.
You will need to have around two years or more post graduate experience working as a Town Planner.
You will be keen to work towards becoming MRTPI or RICS (Planning & Development) qualified or already working towards becoming chartered.
Roles and responsibilities will include:-
Reviewing and preparing site planning histories
Undertaking planning policy reviews
Preparing draft planning enquiry forms
Preparing draft planning applications includinig forms and covering letters and supporting statements
Reviewing technical consultants input
Liaising with other members of design team
Preparing draft representations to Local Planning consultantations
Preparing draft written representations
Responding to client queries
Ensuring files are well managed and QA procedure are followed
Representing our client at events and seminars
Keeping updated and appraised of changes in planning legisltations and policy
Undertaking communications via LinkedIn and Twitter.
Excellent support will be provided for you to take the APC and to be fully chartered with RTPI.
You will need excellent communication skills and good written and spoken English and be able to work on a number of projects at a time.
Good prospects for ambitious planners.
You will need to have a UK driving licence.
Salary in the range of £20000 to £26000 negotiable plus excellent bonus, pension and other benefits.
