Project Manager - Property
The SFRS was established on 1st April 2013, formed by the merger of Scotland’s previous eight regional fire and rescue services, creating the largest UK fire service and the fourth largest in the world. We currently have a number of opportunities for a Project Manager (Property) to join us on either a full-time permanent basis or on a fixed term basis for a period of 2 years.
Reporting to the Property Development Manager, the successful candidate will support the Property Development Manager in the development and implementation of strategic and asset development programs and project plans. The role involves the management and administration of projects from inception stage through to construction phase and completion, reporting thereon as appropriate, ensuring high standards are maintained.
Applicants require to hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, together with 5 years post qualification project management experience within property/construction fields in a similar senior role. Ideally you will be have full membership of the relevant professional body and be qualified or experienced in Prince2 or other project management methodology.
Proficient in the use of appropriate ICT equipment to assist in the effective collation, analysis and presentation of information, the successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision and will need to be able to effectively manage competing demands and time pressures.
The role requires a flexible approach as there is a requirement to travel across Scotland. A full, current driving licence is therefore essential.
