Architectural Technician required for friendly practice in Bury St. Edmunds.
Your new company
A small and friendly practice on the outskirts of Bury, run since the early 70's. Specialising predominately in the residential sector, they focus on a range of projects from one-off new build, to housing schemes of 25 units. Not one to shy away from an architectural challenge, they also work with listed buildings. They have a loyal client base of developers and referred private clients.
Due to staff shortage, they are seeking a driven Architectural Technician to support the team.
Your new role
As a successful architectural technician, you will have the opportunity to effect and shape the quality design of residential schemes across the region. As architectural technician, you will be utilising your exceptional detailing skills to produce precise building regulations documentation, and technical detailing for high-quality residential schemes. Using your effective rapport building skills you will maintain high levels of client care in client facing tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be expected to have a sound knowledge of UK residential building regulations, and the planning approval process, and be able to utilise these effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects. You will also be expected to have a high level of AutoCAD ability, with associated 3D visualisation capability as required. You will be a personable professional, with a passion for architecture and detailed design. Due to office location you will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
