A leading work-space design and construction company, who operate in both the public and commercial sectors, require a Design Studio Director to join their team. This organisation lead with excellence in design and construction services to a range of clients across the commercial, retail, not for profit, leisure & higher education sectors.
Your new role
This is a key role within the Edinburgh studio leading the team to excel in design and delivery of their projects day to day. This role will largely involve client engagement, bid work and fee proposals, programme management, technical advice and resolution and overall management of the design and delivery of all Edinburgh based projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be selected for interview for this role, you will be an Architect or Senior Designer, ideally with some team leadership and commercial business experience. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience and should be able to demonstrate excellent design and technical ability through sketch/ concept drawings and technical information produced in CAD/ BIM. Experience in commercial / office, higher education, mixed use projects is strongly desirable. Essential attributes include job running capabilities and excellent communication skills. You should be self-motivated and a team player with the ability to lead consultant and client team meetings. You should be a motivational manager who is capable of managing a team of around 10-15 staff.
