Hays are excited to be working in partnership with Russen & Turner who were founded in 1981 and are a multi-disciplinary property firm covering a wide range of property specialisms throughout East Anglia. Russen & Turner are looking to recruit an Architectural Technician or Technologist to join their busy team and assist in the growth and success of the Award winning Architectural Design Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a small, friendly team, with the support of multi-disciplinary services. Russen & Turner offers architectural services to complement the current RIBA Plan of Works for both residential and commercial sectors including education and retail. As the successful Architectural Technician in this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and will have exposure to the full-project lifecycle.

You will be responsible for utilising your skills to produce accurate drawing and specification packages, including preparing work schedules and liaising closely with clients and the Head of Department to ensure on-time project delivery. This will involve attending site meetings and administrating the Building Contract (training will be provided).

In addition, you will attend site for the purposes of carrying out measured surveys in order to prepare Planning, Building Regulation and Construction related design information. Whilst formal qualifications are not necessary for this role, you will be expected to have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an Architectural Technician, and have developed a good understanding of the Planning process and Building Regulations.

The software package utilised by Russen & Turner includes AutoCAD, so proficiency is essential. Use of Revit is desirable but not essential. In addition, Russen & Turner also produce in-house Architectural Visualisations and competency in using SketchUp and supporting render plug-ins is desirable but not essential.

In return Russen & Turner are offering a competitive salary up to £35,000 (doe), the position also offers unparalleled support and guidance from their experienced team. On top of the salary, you will also receive 25 days annual leave, not including bank holidays, the potential to earn an annual bonus and the choice of either a government pension scheme or SIPP Novia pension scheme.

The practice also closes on the 23rd of December and remains closed until the 2nd of January, offering plenty of leave for their employees across the Christmas holidays.

This is a great opportunity for an Architectural Technician who is looking to work on varied projects, with the opportunity of career progression and to work for a firm that encourages their employees to work hard but to have a healthy work life balance.
