Project Manager - Property
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is delighted to invite applications for the role of Project Manager – Property, based at SFRS HQ, Cambuslang. There are a number of opportunities on either a full-time permanent basis or on a fixed term basis for a period of 2 years.
Reporting to the Property Development Manager, the successful candidate will support the Property Development Manager in the development and implementation of strategic and asset development programs and project plans. The role involves the management and administration of projects from inception stage through to construction phase and completion, reporting thereon as appropriate, ensuring high standards are maintained.
Applicants require to hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, together with 5 years post qualification project management experience within property/construction fields in a similar senior role. Ideally you will be have full membership of the relevant professional body and be qualified or experienced in Prince2 or other project management methodology.
Proficient in the use of appropriate ICT equipment to assist in the effective collation, analysis and presentation of information, the successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision and will need to be able to effectively manage competing demands and time pressures.
The role requires a flexible approach as there is a requirement to travel across Scotland.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrate.
