What started as a fledgling design unit in multi-disciplinary practice has grown significantly over the last two years, incorporating the full range of design services on significant local projects. Operating out of a contemporary refurbished office, they specialise in delivering a range of planning, design, and project management services to the local market. They have high-ambitions and exciting growth plans in 2018. Due to such plans they are seeking a high-performing Associate Architect to grow with them at this pivotal time.
Your new role
As Associate Architect you will be responsible for the management and development of a design team, consisting of Assistants, Technicians, and Interior Designers. Your key aims will be; to deliver projects on time with no compromise on quality with hands-on involvement, take forward new job enquires, assist the Director in strategic proposals of the design function, and assist in identifying key business development opportunities to maximise growth potential whilst embodying a quality design ethos.
What you'll need to succeed
This is a rare opportunity for a current Associate Architect looking to take on more responsibility, or a Senior Architect who may have hit a ceiling at their current practice. As such, you will have proven track-record as a quality-focused architect being involved with the delivery of larger schemes. You will have had experience leading design teams and processes to maximise team efficiency, as well providing mentorship. As an active hands-on role, software proficiency is still essential (ideally AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop).
