Your new role
Your new role as Associate/Associate Director involves managing a team, completing site visits, business development and attending networking events. Your role will be related more to management and client handling rather than the drawing aspects of an Architect, and you will be responsible for the development and training of your team.Although your role will not involve drawing daily, it will require you to have knowledge of Autocad and Revit for training purposes.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, previous management experience is a necessity. The ideal candidate will also be looking for the opportunity to grow and develop a small team working on education, large scale residential and leisure projects with the value ranging from £200k to £10m.
Another skill required for this role is excellent communication and client liaison skills. Due to the nature of the role, a majority of the time you will be required to communicate not only with your team, but also the clients to effectively take in the briefs of a job.
It is also necessary that the right candidate is ARB part 3 registered.
