Junior / Intermediate Architectural Technician | Heritage and Ecclesiastical | £32,000
Your new company
A medium sized consultancy in the heart of Bury St Edmunds are seeking an Architectural Technician to join their team. Specialising in architecture and surveying, with a 60/40 split, they have significant project experience across small residential works, listed buildings, and ecclesiastical work. Covering both architecture and surveying extensively puts them in a fantastic position to deliver full consultancy services to a number of repeat and new clients.
Your new role
The company are flexible, so you as either a newly qualified graduate or intermediate level architectural technician, can expect to be involved with predominantly ecclesiastical and listed building projects. You'll be lucky enough to be exposed to all project elements including site surveys, with a particular focus on expanding your knowledge of building products, putting together technical documentation including building regulation packages and construction packages. You'll be continuously improving your skills through CPD and on-the job learning.
What you'll need to succeed
Though you may be relatively inexperienced (which is okay!) you'll have a passion for retaining the heritage and beauty of older buildings, and operating in sensitive environments. Higher education in Architecture would be highly advantageous, but not as important as your ability to display that keen interest in the field, with experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp software.
What you'll get in return
In your new role you can expect to be continually challenged, developing your skills and experience in a rewarding niche. Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience.
