Due to an expanding range of projects and continued growth this studio in Guildford seeks a design led talented and technically orientated Project leader / Architect to join their lovely team

Sectors worked on include commercial, residential, education and new technologies

Abilities and Competencies for the role of Architect

• An understanding of the design process and ability to manage/deliver this from concept to completion;
• Ability to translate concept into detail design and understand how to identify and design key details;
• Ability to ensure the Design ethos and vision of the business is communicated and demonstrated throughout project work.
• Flexibility and openness of approach and willingness to work as a team player;
 

Delivery
• Ability to demonstrate technical expertise for project demands;
• Consistency and Accuracy;
• An understanding how to detail for compliance requirements e.g. building regulations;
• An understanding of the extent of detail required in different contractual situations and experience of various forms of building contract (D&B, CM, Traditional);
• Working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types;
• Working knowledge of town planning procedures;
• Ability to demonstrate value through client service;
• Ability to ensure effective project control;
• Ability to manage complex projects;
 

Skills
• High level of CAD skills, preferably Revit although training will be provided;
• Ability to use NBS Building and NBS Create efficiently;
• Highly computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications;
• Excellent presentation skills, both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
 

Management
• Manage resources and people effectively and efficiently;
• Work within a team effectively and delivering tight deadlines on time and on budget;
• Assist with managing performance in the team;
• Ability to cope with change e.g. to brief, programme or role
• Manage demanding, challenging situations / clients
• Project Co-ordination;

Ensuring Profitability
• Identify, manage and resolve project risks;
• Ability to prepare resource schedules and design project programmes;
• Ability to programme project deliverables and match resources
