Workplace Intermediate Interior Architect/Interior Designer

A mid-sized Workplace consultancy who work on integrated strategy office spaces around the world require an Intermediate Interior Architect/Interior Designer to assist them with their growing workload. The client would like someone with opinions and a voice, with the ability to run/collaborate on design projects. They are looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join the London Studio and part of the Workplace/Commercial team with between 5 - 8 years' experience. The successful candidate will work with a mentor or Commercial Senior Designer. You will be expected to design workplace interior projects through all stages, from briefing, concept to technical. Working as part of a team of designers, the Workplace Interior Designer needs to show client skills, design flair and produce accurate and timely drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERMEDIATE WORKPLACE INTERIOR DESIGNER:

These include but are not limited to:

  • Drawing and sketching design solutions by hand
  • Developing schemes using 2D and 3D computer CAD packages, Sketch up and AutoCAD
  • Producing 3D images using rendering packages and Photoshop
  • Producing reports and presentations using InDesign and PowerPoint
  • Producing /maintaining other documents and schedules using programmes such as Word and Excel
  • Assisting in general project duties in the office
  • Operating at all times within the Management system and Staff Handbook guidelines

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE OF THE INTERMEDIATE WORKPLACE INTERIOR DESIGNER:

  • Professionally qualified in Interior Design or Architecture, with 5-8 years' experience in commercial design
  • Relevant experience in commercial workplace design or proficient design skills to suit
  • Able to manage own time and workload effectively
  • Good product and supplier knowledge (furniture, finishes, white goods, sanitary ware & ironmongery)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Results driven
