Are you looking to join a friendly 10 man Architects practice on the outskirts of Leicester? My client has recently appointed the Senior Architect they've been requiring and their focus now is to source a less senior Architect or Technologist, that can competently job run and assist with their busy pipeline of work.
They work across an array of different sectors from small scale Residential/ Bespoke House types, to very large developer led schemes. They also take on various Student Accomodation / Leisure and Commercial projects local to Leicester and nationwide.
Having a good knowledge of Housing layouts and prior surveying experience will be beneficial in your application. In being a small/ medium sized practice, they promote exposure to all aspects of RIBA and this could be a great opportunity for you to develop your skills from planning to meeting clients on site. Ideally the right candidate will be a strong Revit user with a minimum of 2-3 years post qualification experience, or an experienced job running Technologist that preferably has MCIAT accreditation.
They will be looking for the right person to start immediately, as they have just been given the green light on 3-4 major Housing schemes in the East Midlands area. They will require the right Architect or Technologist to be able to hit the ground running with Revit, as they use this software exclusively across their projects.
Having your own car, and being able to drive will be a necessity for site visits etc.
They are an office first practice, and being a small team this is a common preference I am noticing with my clients. For any new starter, it allows for my client to offer the best training and support possible whilst maintaining strong lines of commuication which is key for anybody new joining to understand their ways of working and company culture. They understand that they may have to accommodate for certain members of their team and a rigid 9-5 monday to Friday arrangement, working from the office may have to differ slightly. This being said, they can offer a change in working hours to suit childcare needs (morning school run etc) or other work/life balance requirements.
The salary on offer for the right person, dependent on skills and experience will be circa £35,000 PA
