Architectural Technician

An interesting opportunity has become available for an experience Architectural Technician to work for a busy Surrey office of a nationwide Architectural practice. This is ideal for people looking to work remotely as the company in question are not averse to a fully remote role or indeed someone based locally in the Farnborough/Surrey area. Salary circa £35-40,000 depending on experience.

For this position you'll need at least 3 years industry experience having worked on similar style projects. You'll need to be very comfortable with a residential portfolio as the company in question specialise solely in this field. Typically a background or interest in working on residential developments in the Surrey/Hampshire area would be ideal. You'll need to be comfortable with producing detailing packages as well as Tender packages and construction drawings. A large part of the companies work is large scale residential masterplans so any knowledge or experience here would out you in good stead.

AutoCAD fluency is a must and you should be able to hit the ground running with this. On top of this you'll need to be fluent with the Adobe suite and SketchUp. The ability to hand sketch would also be ideal. This is for an immediate start so in an ideal world you should be available to interview and start a new position within a month, if you have a month's notice don't let this deter you as you'll still very much be considered.
