Architectural Technologist

A unique and exciting opportunity on the Isle of Man for an Architectural Technologist to help deliver a pioneering Botanical Garden and high-end resort.

About them? The design team are working directly for the client who is developing an innovative, world-leading Botanical Garden in a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The project masterplan includes both heritage and restoration work to existing buildings and new-build high-end outbuildings including hospitality, commercial and retail. The project plan is intended to be a showcase for innovation in construction methods and building conservation and sustainability is at the core of the client's design principles.

About you? As a lead Architectural Technologist, you'll be consulting on the design process at all RIBA workstages. You'll be developing bespoke detailed design solutions on specific projects, but also leading the site's BIM execution plan and taking and overarching responsibility for the quality of construction. You'll be comfortable using Revit and Autocad to model and draw and you'll be genuinely interested in researching and applying new construction methodologies while carefully conserving existing buildings.

What's on offer? You'll be offered a base salary of circa £50k depending on prior experience, along with the flexibility to work the hours that suit you or your family. You'll be able to benefit from tax incentives that employees on the Isle of Man receive and you'll be working with an internationally recognised client. Furthermore, there is comfort in job security as the project construction lifespan is at least 10 years.
