Architectural Technologist

This Vectorworks using practice have recently won a number of large scale projects, with their large Hotel clients coming back online and this has now prompted them to start recruiting and be in a strong position to tackle their upcoming workload, forecasted for their 2022 pipeline.
Their focus is to find a strong Technicians / Technologists to join their team, ideally with a good balance of 2D and 3D software proficiency. They are happy to train the right person on Vectorworks as this software is used exclusively across all of their projects (ranging from £20,000 - 20m in value).
Their current projects include very large Hotels, Training & conference centres, Healthcare and Educational schemes. Their portfolio is by no way limited to these sectors, as they pride themselves as being leaders in the design of Commercial, Residential and Leisure sectors.
Alongside the team of designers and technicians, for each scheme they assign a Director in charge to oversee the project from start to finish. From the outset of every project, they aim to interrogate the brief, ensuring the clients requirements are established, to help maximise project potential whilst minimizing the project risk, providing thorough communication and maintaining control from conception to completion and throughout the whole design and build process.
To be considered for this position, it is vital that you:-
Have a thorough knowledge of UK Building regulations
Have worked in practice for a Developer/ Contractor or Developer and can demonstrate transferable technical skills
Strong AutoCAD skills, with the willingness to develop your Vectorworks proficiency
Ideally possessing familiarity and have worked across Hotel/ Commercials/ Leisure/ Healthcare/ Education or Residential
They are starting to really push the way they think about design and build and how they can deliver their projects in the most sustainable way possible. They would be looking for you to adopt a similar attitude when designing and detailing as they are thriving to reduce energy use caused by individual activities and embrace the need for a more sustainable way of life.
Salary on offer will range up to £35,000 PA, dependent on individual ability and experience.
