Associate Architect

I'm currently on the search for an Associate level Architect to work for an ambitious medium sized London based practice. This is a permanent position with a salary circa £55-60,000 pa depending on experience.

For this position you'll need at least 10 years industry experience. It's very much a managerial role so it's vital that you have prior management experience and have lead teams in the past. You're level of communication will need to at a decent level in order to coordinate between various teams within the office. You'll need to be able to demonstrate experience of working towards budgets and to strict deadlines.

This is to work on a variety of large scale new build residential developments as well as refurbishment schemes in London, as a result you'll need a portfolio to demonstrate similar work. You're ability to deal with issues and convey solutions on site is a must and generally you'll need a solid understand of the technical RIBA stages, 4-6. On top of this it's ideal that your au fait with D&B contracts.

Revit fluency would be ideal, if not fluency then some exposure is required. You'll be managing teams of individuals using Revit so you'll need to have the ability to mange such individuals and teams. The company in question also use a bit of Microstation, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Rhino and Grasshopper.

This is an opportunity to come into a well established practice at a senior level with room to progress even further. You'll need the knowledge of running teams and individuals as well as not being afraid to get stuck in. You'll have a good level of responsibility from early on and will need to be able to handle the pressures of being a senior individuals at a busy London practice.
