Audiovisual Design Consultant
Charcoalblue is the UK’s most exciting theatre consultancy. We are currently working with the world’s leading architects, designing performing arts buildings for some of the biggest names in theatre.
We are looking to employ an ambitious, innovative and quick-thinking Audiovisual Design Consultant, working as part of our distributed team. You will undertake a wide range of design tasks and will be required to use your own initiative and to be self-motivated. Training in Theatre Consultancy will be provided.
A good understanding of the building construction process is desirable, along with proven experience in theatre technical drawing and writing. You should ideally be able to demonstrate experience in 2D and 3D CAD and digital, video and broadcast systems. A strong background in the performing arts in parallel with technical knowledge is key to this post.
We work in a distributed model, so the role may be undertaken from home with only occasional attendance in the studio and at project/site meetings as required.
We are an inclusive organisation and an equal opportunities employer. Our mission is to create a diverse and inclusive working environment across our practice. Recruitment opportunities are open to all, but we are particularly keen to hear from ethnically diverse and disabled candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented within our teams.
