An interesting opportunity has just become available for a Building Surveyor or Architectural Project Manager to work for a close knit multi-disciplinary practice on the Surrey/Hampshire boarder. This is a permanent position with a salary circa £40,000 depending on experience.
This is an interesting position ideal for someone looking to straddle the surveying and architectural world. You could be consider if you're a qualified Architect with Surveying experience and vice versa. You'll be assisting in the delivery of projects ranging from £150,000-6m in size, so quite a broad range. You'll need to have good experience on site and be comfortable all the trials and tribulations that come with this. Your technical knowledge and understand of building regulations will need to be of a high standard as you'll be required to resolve technical matters on site. Experience on the client side is also be beneficial required for this one.
You'll be working across a variety of sectors which include education, residential, retail and commercial. There will be a lot more weight put upon someone's experience within the education sector as at present the company in question are working on a number of primary and secondary schools as well as a University. Experience with maintenance and refurbishments of schools would be most welcome. AutoCAD is the main software in use for this practice so fluency is a must.
